Recipe for Success:
our step by step matchmaking system
-
ONE: Listen
Book your free intake call. We’ll learn about your family’s dietary preferences, history (if any) with personal chefs, and your hopes for a match. We also will discuss meal totals and budgets.
-
TWO: Match
Now its our turn to do the work! We’ll consult our network of skilled personal chefs and find between 1 and 3 potential matches for specific needs and hopes. These will be presented to you; you’ll select one and schedule a trial run.
-
THREE: Trial Run
We want your household and the chef to feel mutually excited to work together, building a relationship. We’ll facilitate booking, the first menu, packaging, payment, and all other details. Afterwards, we’ll check in with you.
-
FOUR: Eat Well
If you love your chef, we’ll finalize the contracts and agreement for ongoing service! If you aren’t thrilled, we’ll schedule another trial to ensure a great match. PCSco. will remain in touch for a few months in case you have any needs.
Meet Your
Matchmakers
Hi! We’re Alison Mountford and Melissa Winstead. We were both brand new personal chefs when we met in San Francisco in 2006. There’s no playbook to follow when proving in home services, so there was a lot of trial and error along the way. But, by sticking together and comparing notes, trading referrals, and having some wonderful clients along the way both of our businesses grew and we had lovely, long careers cooking for hundreds of hungry families.
Alison closed her business in 2021 when she moved to Rhode Island during the Covid shutdowns and now works as a Marketing Director for Culinary Start Ups. Melissa remains in the Bay Area and continues to cater events from time to time, working as an Estate Manager nearby.
Our shared passion as chefs for delicious food, understanding as moms how hard it can be to get dinner on the table, and our longstanding reputations for elite customer service led us to found the Personal Chef Staffing Co. Notably, we are the only dedicated staffing agency for personal chefs and we know this industry as well as we know the best recipe for chicken piccata.
We hope to help your family find ease at mealtime with a personal chef.
